Energy is the Essence of Existence… It is indeed a proud privilege for me to be a part of the great initiative by our students and faculty members of the Department of Energy Engineering to form an energy society named “THE ENERGIEA”. The society will provide a platform for students, researchers, engineers, and faculty members to plan and execute projects on renewable energy for nationwide activities to promote Science and Technology and create awareness about alternate sources of energy for relating energy with other fields of Science and Engineering. It is also dedicated to organizing an awareness program for the conservation of energy and minimizing energy consumption. The society is going to publish a magazine, titled “THE ENERGIEA” each year. This is a unique platform, where students, researchers, faculty members, and intellectuals will share their views and new ideas through creative writings and also highlight developments in the field of renewable energy. It also highlights recent energy technology developments and new energy policies at national and international levels. It is a great opportunity for us to work together for the development of renewable energy technology as well as social awareness. I hope that “THE ENERGIEA” will play an important role in the socioeconomic development within the state as well as at national and international levels. I wish them great success in their endeavor and look forward to being a part of it.
