MESSAGE

Energy is the Essence of Existence… It is indeed a proud privilege for me tobe a part of the great initiative by our students and faculty members of theDepartment of Energy Engineering to form an energy society named “THE ENERGIEA”. The society will provide a platform for students, researchers, engineers andfaculty members to plan and execute projects on renewable energy fornationwide activities to promote Science and Technology and createawareness about alternate sources of energy for relating energy with otherfields of Science and Engineering. It is also dedicated towards organizingan awareness program for conservation of energy and minimizing energyconsumption. The society is going to publish a magazine, titled “THEENERGIEA” each year. This is a unique platform, where students,researchers, faculty members and intellectuals will share their views andnew ideas through creative writings and also highlight developments in thefield of renewable energy. It also highlights recent energy technologydevelopment and new energy policy at national and international level. It isa great opportunity for us to work together for the development ofrenewable energy technology as well as social awareness. I hope that “THE ENERGIEA” will play an important role in the Socio-Economic Development within the state as well as at national andinternational level. I wish them great success in their endeavor and lookforward to being a part of it.
